Founded in 1991 by Eli Bonerz and Adam Silverman, XLARGE opened its doors as a small store on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles, with early creative and financial input from Mike D of the Beastie Boys. The concept was simple but radical for the time: take rugged workwear brands like Ben Davis and Dickies and place them inside a fashion boutique, blending the worlds of skateboarding, music, and graffiti into something entirely new. With its iconic Original Gorilla logo, XLARGE quickly became one of the brands that helped define streetwear before the term even existed.
More than three decades on, XLARGE remains a true OG of street fashion, drawing on workwear, vintage, and counterculture influences while continuing to collaborate with artists, brands, and creatives across the globe.
