The brand has supported some of the most respected names in street skateboarding throughout its history.

Thunder Truck Models

Fast Times stocks Thunder trucks across several models and sizes. The Thunder Team Truck Polished is the entry-level option, available in 145 and 147. The Thunder T-II Polished is available in 147 and 148. The Thunder Inverted Truck Polish — featuring Thunder's inverted kingpin design for a lower ride height and increased clearance — is available in 147, 148 and 149. The Thunder Light Polished is available in 147 and 148. The Thunder Hollow Light Polished is the premium lightweight option, available in 147 and 148, with a hollowed kingpin and axle for reduced weight without compromising strength.

Thunder Pro Model Trucks

Fast Times stocks two Thunder pro model trucks. The Frank Gerwer Screaming Gimple T-II in polished silver/black is available in 149. The Sarah Meurle Emulsion Pro Hollow Light in polished/black is available in 148. Both are built on Thunder's standard pro hollow construction with pro-specific graphics.

Thunder Truck Sizes Explained

Thunder trucks are sized by axle width in millimetres. The 145 suits decks around 7.75" to 8". The 147 suits decks around 7.75" to 8.25". The 148 suits decks around 8" to 8.5". The 149 suits decks around 8.25" to 8.75". As a general rule, match the truck axle width as closely as possible to your deck width for the best feel and performance.

Thunder Bushings & Hardware

Fast Times stocks Thunder Bushing Rebuild Kits in three durometers — red 90a (soft), blue 95a (medium) and black 100a (hard). Softer bushings suit lighter riders or those who prefer looser, more responsive turning. Harder bushings suit heavier riders or those who prefer a stiffer, more stable feel. Thunder Riser Pads (1/8") and Thunder Allen Bolts in 7/8" and 1" are also available.

Thunder Trucks FAQs

Are Thunder trucks good for skateboarding?
Yes. Thunder is one of the most respected truck brands in street skateboarding, known for low ride height, quick turning and durable construction. They are a popular choice among street skaters worldwide.

What size Thunder trucks do I need?
Match the truck size to your deck width. For an 8" deck, 147 or 148 is the most common choice. For an 8.25" to 8.5" deck, 148 or 149 suits best. Fast Times stocks 145, 147, 148 and 149 across the range.

What is the difference between Thunder Lights and Hollow Lights?
The Thunder Light has a standard solid kingpin and axle in a lighter casting than the Team truck. The Thunder Hollow Light features a hollowed kingpin and axle for additional weight reduction, making it the lightest option in the Fast Times range.

What is the Thunder Inverted truck?
The Thunder Inverted features an inverted kingpin design that sits inside the hanger rather than protruding above it. This lowers the ride height slightly and eliminates the kingpin as an obstacle during grinds.
