Founded in Osaka in 2005 by professional skateboarder and filmmaker Shinpei Ueno, TIGHTBOOTH began as a skateboarding production company built around video, photography and documenting Japan's street skating scene. Ueno's LENZ series became the defining output of the project, capturing the distinctive style and energy of the Japanese skate scene with a cinematic sensibility that set TIGHTBOOTH apart from anything else coming out of the country at the time.

Since then TIGHTBOOTH has grown into a fully realised skate and streetwear brand, expanding from its Osaka flagship into a comprehensive seasonal range covering outerwear, shirts, sweatshirts, knitwear, tees, pants, headwear, bags and skateboard decks. Collaborations with Killer Bong and others reflect a brand that moves fluidly between skateboarding, Japanese street culture and international design, delivering seasonal collections that carry Ueno's distinctive visual approach through every piece.
