Quasi Skateboards was founded by Chad Bowers following the dissolution of Alien Workshop, growing out of a project originally known as The Mother Collective. With former Alien Workshop riders Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett and Bobby De Keyzer among its early team, Quasi quickly established its own identity through skateboarding, art and distinctive board graphics.

The brand's creative direction has always been closely tied to Bowers' artistic vision, with Quasi's graphics often blurring the line between skateboarding and contemporary art. In 2018, the brand released its first full-length skate film, Mother, capturing the team and the creative direction that had shaped Quasi from the beginning.

Today, Quasi produces skateboard decks and apparel while continuing to build on its distinctive approach to skateboarding and art.
