Nike SB x Pass~Port Dunk High!

A great moment for Australian skateboarding!

Inspired by the lack of homegrown brands, Pass~Port founder Trent Evans felt compelled to start an authentic, Australian owned & operated board company around 2009. With a clear vision, hard work ethic & dedication, Pass~Port is now one of the best skateboard companies in history!

Armed with a catalogue of incredible board graphics, full length videos & one of the greatest skate teams ever, the crew have taken things to another level.

We’re very excited to present the Pass~Port x Nike SB Dunk High “Work-boot”.
Over 2 years in the making, the skate team & staff have designed one of the nicest SB Dunks in history.

“Our intention was to create a shoe that was a little hat tip to hiking, working hard & exploring the great outdoors. I love being on skate tours, but even more when they include unknown territories, waterfalls & bush walks. With that direction at the core of the shoe, we’ve had fun with the various details.” - Trent Evans.

Although Trent is the “shot caller” at Pass~Port, the Work Boot was a team effort, with pro riders Josh Pall & Jack O’Grady being a huge part of the design process.

“Josh & Jack were a huge part of the process. Josh is incredibly clued up on the finer details of... everything! Jack sent me and Geoff a sketch of the digger man with the Nike Swoosh replacing the shovel. I thought it was genius and it made its way onto the shoe/entire roll out for the campaign. Mikey (Mierusynski) & Sammy (Thornton) in the studio were both very integral to the overall look and feel too. They went deep into the archives of shoes, hiking and all things that look visually pleasing.”

The collaborative effort brought life to some incredible subtle details, such as the rock-climbing rope inspired laces and tortoise shell sole.

“It’s quite mesmerizing the way tortoise shell is made and looks. We had tried to nail this with another project, but it just missed the mark. For us to introduce it into this shoe made so much sense & a little hat tip to dirt, mud and all the things you encounter while exploring.
The forest green is a very “Passy” colour, plus it sat well with all things bush, moss, and the surroundings of the mountains. Burnt orange is my number one colour of all time, but it also sat well against green and pushed our vibe of all things dirty, muddy, sunrises & sunsets.
You will see there is also our classic “Inter Solid” hands as the webbing tape for the pull tabs. Another little message we always will push wherever we can – The Whole of Community & International Solidarity forever.
